EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD JULY 8, 1981 * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive, in said City on Wednesday, July 8,1981, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Kehr, Curley, Franke and Johnson and the followinq were absent: None Councilman Franke introduced the followinq resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 7186 WHEREAS,the City of Roseville, Minnesota, has sustained major losses as a result of a tornado on Sunday, June 14, 1981; and WHEREAS, an estimated 351 homes and businesses in the City of Roseville have been affected with damages: No. PartiaAmount No. Total Amount Homes 325 Businesses 25 $ 8,113,500 5,470,000 26 1 $ 1,423,000 300,000 WHEREAS, extreme hardship has been inflicted on the disaster victims through inability to secure loans or credit to make necessary repairs and restoration; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council for and on behalf of the citizens of Roseville request that the Governor of the State of Minnesota petition the Re~ional Coordinator of the Federal Disaster Assistance Administration to request the Small Business Administration to make emergency loans available under the provisions of Public Law 93-24. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Curley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against same: None. WHEREUPON, Said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
