r I EXTRJI.CT OF ~1HllJTES OF t~EETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, rUNNESOTA - HELD JULY 13, 1981 * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said City on t10nday, the 13th day of July, 1981, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Curley, Kehr, Johnson and Franke and the following were absent: None Councilman Curley of the following resolution: introduced and moved the adoption RESOLUTION NO. 7187-Aa WHEREAS, on June 14, 1981, at 4:06 P.M., a tornado struck the City of Roseville leavin0 numerous homes and businesses damaged, trees destroyed and debris scattered throughout the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville was in need of personnel and equipment in the aftermath of the tornado to aid in the several operations involving security, traffic control, cleanup, inspection of damaqed homes, distribution of printed information and survey material and general support to citizens of the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills responded enthusiastically with a willingness to provide timely and much needed assistance, NOl'J, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Counci 1 of the City of Roseville does hereby commend the City of Arden Hills for their support following the tornado and extends, on behalf of the community, its most heartfelt thanks . BE IT FUrnHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the City of Arden Hills The motion for the adoption of said resolution was seconded by Councilman Kehr and the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the followino voted a9ainst same: None. WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
