<br />/ <br /> <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, r~INrlESOTA - HELD JULY 13,1981 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, r~innesota, was duly <br />held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 13th day of July, <br />1981, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos, <br />Councilmen Curley, Kehr, Johnson, Franke <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Councilman Curley <br />of the following resolution: <br /> <br />introduced and moved the adoption <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7l87-T <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 14, 1981, at 4:06 P.M., a tornado struck <br />the City of Roseville leaving numerous homes and businesses damaged, <br />trees destroyed and debris scattered throughout the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville was in need of personnel and <br />equipment in the aftermath of the tornado to aid in the several <br />operations involving security, traffic control, cleanup, inspection <br />of damaged homes, distribution of printed information and survey <br />material and general support to citizens of the community; and <br /> <br />HHEREAS, the City of Columbia Heights <br />responded enthusiastically with a willingness to provide timely and <br />much needed assistance, <br /> <br />NOU, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Counci 1 of the <br />City of Roseville does hereby commend the City of Columbia Heights <br />for their support following the tornado and extends, on behalf of the <br />community, its most heartfelt thanks. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution <br />be forwarded to the City of Columbia Heights <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of said resolution was seconded <br />by Councilman Kehr and the following voted in favor thereof: <br />All present <br /> <br />and the followina voted against same: None <br /> <br />HHERElJPOJI, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
