limited recourses, including all asset management, infrastructure <br />restoration/reconstruction for long -range planning, and how future staffing needs <br />could be met; and the City's needs met in -house rather than contracting those <br />needs out. <br />Members briefly discussed the proposal heard by Tremco and whether hiring <br />them was the best option available, or if other companies provided performance <br />contracting without having a specific interest in manufacturing a product. <br />Member Gjerdingen addressed his concerns with the City's current snow /pathway <br />ordinance and his perception of the need to address public /private pathways and a <br />proposed ordinance modified to refer to maintenance of adjacent pathways, <br />including businesses and residential areas. <br />Mr. Schwartz noted that this was a grey area in the operation of pathways, with <br />maintenance and snow removal under the duties of the Parks and Recreation <br />Department, who had their own Commission to address such items. Mr. Schwartz <br />offered to discuss Member Gjerdingen's concerns with Mr. Brokke to see it the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission would take up that ordinance. <br />Chair DeBenedet noted the upcoming "Zero Waste Management Gathering" on <br />April 28, 2011, and encouraged Member attendance. <br />11.
