EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF t~EETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD July 13, 1981 * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said City on ~1onday, July 13,1981, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Curley, Kehr, Johnson and Franke and the following were absent: None Council member Curley then introduced and moved the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLUTION NO. 7189 WHEREAS, the Constitution of the State of Minnesota, Article 4, Section 3, provides that the legislature shall have the power to prescribe the bounds of congressional and legislative districts following a U. S. Census enumeration, and; WHEREAS, such a census was completed in 1980; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Roseville requests the legislature to prescribe state legislative districts such that the boundaries of the district are coterminous with the boundaries of political subdivisions of the state wherever possible. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that thi~s resolution be sent to the appropriate state legislative committee. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council member Kehr and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: All present and the following voted against: None WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
