This levy will guide the development of a City <br /> 4 Manager Recommended Budget, and could be used to provide citizens with a preliminary tax impact <br /> 5 projection. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 In an effort to further assist the Council in setting the preliminary property tax levy, Staff has prepared a <br /> a number of`decision packages'that highlight the projected need for property tax increases in 2012. These <br /> 9 decision packages are shown below. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 2012 Property Tax Levy Decision Packages <br /> 12 <br /> $60,000-New Contractual I $16,000-Property, Casualty,and <br /> Obligations including dispatch, Work Comp insurance premiums. <br /> legal, and audit services. <br /> $46,000-Motor Fuel&Energy- $20,000-Supply and Maintenance <br /> related costs materials inflationary costs. <br /> $400,000- Vehicle&Equipment $101,000-Employee cost-of-living <br /> replacement funding. wage and healthcare costs. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 In total, these tax levy decision packages amount to $643,000 in new obligations for 2012. <br /> 32 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
