<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD SEPTEMBER 14, 1981 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br />the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held <br />at the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 14th day of <br />September, 1981, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: r~ayor Demos, Councilmen <br />Johnson, Franke, Kehr and Curley <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Councilman Kehr then introduced and moved the adoption <br />of the following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7254 <br /> <br />REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL HRA TO APPLY <br />FOR AND IMPLEMENT A REHABILITATION LOAN PROGRA~1 <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville desires to assist low income <br />homeowners in making repairs to their homes for the purpose of <br />correcting defects affecting directly the safety, habitability, <br />energy conservation, or accessibility of the property; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has funds to be <br />used for such purposes, and will accept applications from housing <br />and redevelopment authorities desiring to administer these Rehabili- <br />tation Loan Program funds; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been duly organized pur- <br />suant to Minnesota Statutes 1976, Section 473.123 and has all of the <br />powers and duties of a housing and redevelopment authority pursuant <br />to Minnesota Statutes 1976, 473.193 under the provisions of the <br />Municipal Housing and Redevelopment Act, Minnesota Statutes 1976, <br />Sections 462.711; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Metropolitan Council is <br />hereby requested to include the City of Roseville in an application <br />for state Rehabilitation Loan Program funds, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized <br />to enter into any necessary agreement with the Metropolitan Council <br />for operating the Program within the City. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Curley and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor: All present <br />and the following against: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
