Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,June 20,2011 <br /> Page 30 <br /> portfolios may change; but Roseville property taxes over time and the changes <br /> would mean more to residents than comparisons with other cities. <br /> Councilmember McGehee concurred with Councilmember Pust; and opined that <br /> the results are how the City has engineered its current tax base into an aging sub- <br /> urb, with significant amounts spent to develop assisted living and/or senior hous- <br /> ing that drew from Roseville as well as other communities, in addition to the sig- <br /> nificant amount of retail per capita drawing from other communities, resulting in <br /> parking lots and low paying jobs. <br /> 14. City Manager Future Agenda Review <br /> City Manager Malinen reviewed upcoming agenda items. <br /> Discussion included further refinement of the City Manager goals for a future agenda fol- <br /> lowing City Manager Malinen's consultation with Councilmember McGehee and subse- <br /> quent City Council discussion on appointment of a City Council subcommittee for future <br /> City Manager evaluations; and potential cancellation of the August 15, 2011 City Council <br /> meeting, since Councilmember Pust and Mayor Roe will both be unavailable, and at- <br /> tempting to work agenda items around to facilitate a night off for Councilmembers. <br /> 15. Councilmember-Initiated Items for Future Meetings <br /> Councilmember Pust announced for the benefit of the community the upcoming meeting <br /> of the Ramsey County League of Local Governments (RCLLG) on June 24, 2011 at the <br /> Roseville City Hall with a brief board meeting from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m., followed by a <br /> presentation on organized garbage collection, Councilmember Pust invited any interested <br /> citizens to attend. <br /> 16. Adjourn <br /> Johnson moved, McGehee seconded, adjournment of the meeting at approximately 10:02 <br /> p.m. <br />
