MR. R~CHARD SANDBERG: To me it doesn't make much difference.

MAYOR DEMOS: Even if it isn't a one year assessment, they
can pay it up in one year.

MR. REILING: I would rather see it go for one or five
years rather than over 20 years. That's how it got to be
$1800.00. I would say one or five years.

COUNCILMAN JOHNSON: The idea is to keep it off the books.

MAYOR DEMOS: Doesn't it still have to be?

COUNCILMAN JOHNSON: It becomes part of the regular tax
statement.

MR. REILING: Then it wouldn't be $200.00?

MR. POPOVICH: It would still be $200.00, but you take
$200.00 at a 13% carrying charge over five years, you nearly
double that cost. You're really better off doing it as quickly
as possible to save the interest cost.

COUNCILMAN KEHR then introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:

Resolution No. 7360

RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF IMPROVEMENT.
