Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,July 11, 2011 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Xcel Energy to initially refuse to move a pole, but that if interested parties contin- <br /> ued to push them, Xcel Energy would take action. <br /> City Manager Malinen duly noted Mr. Hadlick's concerns for follow-up. <br /> 4. Council Communications,Reports and Announcements <br /> Mayor Roe announced that community and regional meetings of the Beyond the Yellow <br /> Ribbon campaign were proceeding; and that an organizational meeting was scheduled for <br /> the fourth Thursday of each month for those interested. Mayor Roe announced the meet- <br /> ings were scheduled for July 28, August 25, and August 22, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the <br /> Roseville City Hall in the Willow Room. For additional information, Mayor Roe encour- <br /> aged interested residents to contact Outreach Coordinator 1St Lieutenant Kathryn Helland <br /> at Kathryn.hellanda,us.army.mil or by phone at 612/618-6927; or at the BeyondtheYel- <br /> lowRibbon.org website. <br /> Mayor Roe announced vacancies on the City's Housing and Redevelopment Authority <br /> (HRA) and the Human Rights Commission (HRC) with an application deadline of July <br /> 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall; with applications available on the City's website or at <br /> City Hall Administration Offices. Mayor Roe advised that the HRA term would go <br /> through September 23, 2015; and the HRC term through March 31, 2012. <br /> 5. Recognitions,Donations, Communications <br /> a. Recognize Outgoing Housing and Redevelopment Authority Board Member <br /> Susan Elkins; and Human Rights Commissioners Peg Kennedy and Barbara <br /> Yates <br /> Outgoing Commissioners were recognized by Mayor Roe and provided a plaque <br /> and certificate of appreciation, and personally thanked for their ability to serve <br /> their community. Those present for recognition were Housing and Redevelop- <br /> ment Authority Commissioner Susan Elkin Present Elkin and Human Rights <br /> Commissioner Peg Kennedy. <br /> Mayor Roe advised that Human Rights Commissioner Barbara Yates was unable <br /> to attend tonight's meeting, but would be provided with the plaque and certificate. <br /> 6. Approve Minutes <br /> a. Approve Minutes of June 20,2011 Meeting <br /> Comments and corrections to draft minutes had been submitted by the City Coun- <br /> cil prior to tonight's meeting and those revisions were incorporated into the draft <br /> presented in the Council packet. <br /> McGehee moved, Willmus seconded, approval of the minutes of the June 20, <br /> 2011 meeting as amended.
