Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,July 11,2011 <br /> Page 28 <br /> Councilmember Willmus noted his complicated schedule over the remainder of <br /> the summer months in scheduling additional meetings. <br /> Mayor Roe advised that schedules could be coordinated with staff once staff pro- <br /> vides a report back to the City Council that would provide their analysis of a gen- <br /> eral timeframe for a future meeting specific to long-range planning. <br /> b. Summary of Conclusions of City Manager Performance Evaluation <br /> as required by Open Meeting Law (13D.05, subd. 3.a) <br /> Mayor Roe read a summary of the Closed Executive Session held on July 8, 2011 <br /> to evaluate the City Manager's performance. Mayor Roe advised that this pro- <br /> vided an opportunity for a mid-year check-in, since there were two (2) new Coun- <br /> cilmembers; and an opportunity to finalize 2011 goals to allow time prior to City <br /> Manager Malinen's year-end formal review to reflect on those goals. With the <br /> concurrence of Councilmembers, Mayor Roe advised that the City Manager's cur- <br /> rent job performance and guidance to finalize 2011 goals would be presented for <br /> approval shortly; and thanked City Manager Malinen for his job performance; <br /> with no further action indicated at this time. <br /> 14. City Manager Future Agenda Review <br /> City Manager Malinen reviewed upcoming agenda items. <br /> City Manager Malinen advised that consideration was being given to cancelling the Au- <br /> gust 15, 2011 regular City Council meeting due to a lack of quorum; but that formal ac- <br /> tion would follow as indicated. <br /> Mayor Roe noted that an item on the July 18, 2011 meeting agenda should include his <br /> reappointment of an HRA Commissioner whose term expired in September; and re- <br /> quirements for 60-day notice before expiration as to whether that reappointment would <br /> occur. Mayor Roe advised that he would contact the HRA Commissioner to determine <br /> their interest in reappointment. <br /> 15. Councilmember-Initiated Items for Future Meetings <br /> a. Resolution of Opposition to Half-Cent Sales Tax in Ramsey County for Vik- <br /> ings Stadium <br /> bequest of Councilmember McGehee <br /> For information purposes, three (3) bench handouts were provided related to this <br /> subject, attached hereto and made a part hereof and consisting of an e-mail <br /> from Ramsey County Commissioner Tony Bennett dated July 8, 2011 providing a <br /> fact sheet v myth regarding the Ramsey County/Vikings Stadium Project and pro- <br /> posed Arden Hills location on the former TCAAP site, as well as a draft resolu- <br /> tion of support for the project; e-mail comments from Vivek Iyer, 1620 Highway <br /> 36 W expressing vehement opposition to the proposed Vikings stadium sales tax <br />
