<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall on Monday, the twenty-second day of April, <br />1996, at 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Wi ski, Goedeke, Maschka, Mastel and Wall and the <br />following members were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Wall introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS NO. 9294 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR 1996 CONTRACT A <br /> <br />Whereas, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans and <br />specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on <br />Wednesday, April 17, 1996, at 11 :00 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />BIDDER <br /> <br />AMOUNT <br /> <br />T. Schifsky and Sons <br />Central Landscaping <br />Tower Asphalt, Inc. <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br />Ashbach Construction Co. <br />Midwest Asphalt Corporation <br /> <br />$1,239,412.54 <br />$1,265,348.82 <br />$1,272,117.05 <br />$1,294,750.61 <br />$1,298,157.11 <br />$1,562,735.23 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that T. A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. of North St. Paul, Minnesota is the <br />lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of$I,239,412.54; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rose vi lie, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with T. <br />A. Schifsky and Sons, Inc. for $1,239,412.54 in the name of the City of Rose vi lie for thE: <br />above improvements according to the plans and specifications thereof heretofore approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Manager. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed. <br />
