MAYOR DEMOS: Are there any written communications?

MR. ANDRE: There are none.

MAYOR DEMOS: I will open this hearing to the public and ask
that each person give his or her name and the address of the
property to which they are referring.

MR. BENJAMIN MATHISEN, 2171 \'lest Highway 36: Those trees
you're talking about were planted by the Highway Department.
We've been there long enough to watch them come and go. What
the reason is for this sewer, I don't know. I live on that
third parcel there. I have no problems with water and you're
going to put in how big of a pipe?

MR. HONCHELL: Where you are it would be an 18 inch pipe.

MR. MATHISEN: To start out with? I'm on top of the hill.

MR. HONCHELL: That's right. (Inaudible) ultimate develop-
ment is commercial.

MR. MATHISEN: Do you know something we don't know about
the development? Do you people know anything about the develop-
ment that we don't know?

MAYOR DEMOS: We can see what the maximum development could
be on that total piece of land.

MR. MATHISEN: As it is right now, mine's not listed.

MAYOR DEMOS: No, but it could be, so it's silly to under-
size the pipe and then have development go in later and have to
dig it up and put in a bigger pipe.

MR. MATHISEN: Exactly. B~t we don't know what's going to
happen - so we're going to put kn too big a pipe or too small a
pipe or whatever. I'm going to have to be against unti 1 you
decide what you're going to do. If you know something about
what's going in there - there's a 100 foot setback anyway I
believe, isn't there? On buildings?

MR. HONCHELL: That's what the Hoffmann development is.
That's what we're requesting (inaudible).

MR. MATHISEN: That might do something with your drainage.

MR. HONCHELL: This zoning area is known and that's how
the design was done. We're designing on the assumption that it
will be ultimately developed and we want this pipe to last a
good many years.

MR. MATHISEN: A good idea. I'm all for that. But we're
being dug up on the other end - our houses are pretty nice, we

4
