EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on Monday, the 13th day of May, 1996 at 6:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mastel, Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke, and WaLL and the following were absent: None. Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9298 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR TAX BASE REVITALIZATION ACCOUNT WHEREAS, the City ofRoseville is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing Incentives Program for 1996 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make application for funds under the Tax Base Revitalization Account; and WHEREAS, the City has identified the Midwest Motor Express site at 2778 Cleveland Avenue North as a clean-up project within the City that meets the Tax Base Revitalization account's purpose( s) and criteria; and WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements; and WHEREAS, the City Council ofRoseville, Minnesota agrees to act as legal sponsor for the project contained in the Tax Base Revitalization grant application submitted on May 15, 1996; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for this funding on behalf of the City ofRoseville and to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicant. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council member Goedeke and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: all present and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
