EN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2018-014 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING THE <br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS— <br /> 2018 OLD SNELLING TRAIL AND WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS,the city engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the proposed 2018 Old <br /> Snelling Trail Extension and Watermain Improvement Project. The trail improvements include the <br /> extension of a bituminous walkway along County Rd E, Snelling Avenue, and County Rd E2. The <br /> watermain improvements include the extension of 12-inch watermain along Snelling Avenue and <br /> County Rd E2. The plans and specifications have been presented to the council for approval; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN <br /> HILLS, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper, and in <br /> Commerce and Finance, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such <br /> approved plans and specifications. The advertisements shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the <br /> work to be done, shall state that the bids will be received by the clerk until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday <br /> March 15, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened in the council chambers of the city hall by <br /> the City Clerk and engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at 7:00 p.m. <br /> on March 26, 2018, in the council chambers of the city hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is <br /> questioned during the consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the council on <br /> the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the administrator <br /> and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the <br /> administrator for 5 percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 12th <br /> DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2018. <br /> A44/;/// <br /> David Grant, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Jul Hanson, City Clerk <br />
