Truth in Taxation <br />City Council Recognizes Senator Isaacson and Representative Moller <br />it is responsible for that portion of <br />the cost. <br />In recognition of their diligent <br />service to the City, Certificates of <br />Appreciation were presented by the <br />City Council to both Isaacson and <br />Moller who attended the meeting <br />remotely. <br />New Perspectives Senior Living Breaks Ground <br />The New Perspective Senior <br />Living facility, located at 3565 <br />Pine Tree Drive, had their ground <br />breaking ceremony on October <br />13. Elected officials in attendance <br />included Mayor David Grant, <br />Councilmember Fran Holmes and <br />State Representative Kelly Moller. <br />Sitework is underway on the 140+ <br />unit senior living facility, which <br />will have amenities such as three <br />dining venues, a warm-water pool, <br />dance hall, café/pub, and many <br />more! Welcome to Arden Hills! <br />A Truth-in-Taxation Hearing is <br />scheduled for Monday, December <br />13 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. <br />The 2022 General Fund <br />expenditure budget is proposed at <br />$5,279,450. The preliminary tax <br />levy increase is set at 4.5%, which <br />equates to a tax levy of $4,472,680. <br />Based on preliminary values, the <br />city’s share of property taxes <br />would increase by $46 annually <br />on a median valued home, which <br />is projected to value $384,600 in <br />2022. The proposed levy increase <br />goes to support increases in Public <br />Safety contracts, increases in <br />property insurance, and a decrease <br />in building permit revenue. <br />The City Council recognized <br />Senator Jason Isaacson (District <br />42) and State Representative <br />Kelly Moller (District 42A) at its <br />October 25, 2021 City Council <br />meeting. <br />Senator Isaacson and <br />Representative Moller were <br />instrumental in the City obtaining <br />$500,000 of legislative funding for <br />the watermain replacement along <br />Lexington Avenue. This project <br />coincides with the County’s <br />reconstruction of Lexington <br />Avenue in 2022, since the City <br />owns the utilities under the road <br />State of the City <br />The annual State of the City will be <br />a pre-recorded video, not in person <br />as previously announced.
