Minutes of Regular Meeting of Parks and Recreation Committee <br /> Village of Arden Hills <br /> Tuesday , February 10 , 1976 <br /> Village Nall <br /> • Call to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8 : 10 p .m. by Chairman Anderson . <br /> Roll Call <br /> Present : Chairman Anderson , G. Beggin , M. Blomquist, R. Cadwell , <br /> M. Cronin, C . Grudnoske, G. McCauley , D. Noyed and <br /> R. O' Toole <br /> Absent : None <br /> Also Present: Parks Director J . Buckley, Councilman Crichton, <br /> Batty Schlotthauer and Mary Trisko <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> It was moved by R. Cadwell , seconded by M. Cronin , that the min- <br /> utes of January 13, 1976 be approved as submitted . Motion carried <br /> unanimously . <br /> Introduction <br /> New member R. O'Toole was introduced to the Committee by Council - <br /> man Crichton . <br /> Council Report <br /> Councilman Crichton reported : <br /> - Village Comprehensive Plan was approved by the Council . <br /> The Paris Comprehensive Plan is included in the total re- <br /> port. <br /> - Council approved Megan-Gange request to draw some conceptual <br /> development plans for Cummings Park. <br /> Planning Commission Report <br /> R. Anderson reported that a ,Joint . Planning Commission sub-committee <br /> of members from Arden Hills and Shoreview were studying the <br /> County ' s proposal to upgrade Lexington Ave. Shoreview would like <br /> Lexington Ave. upgraded to a major North-South collector street. <br /> Arden Hills would favor Lexington Ave. be considered a minor street. <br /> M. Blomquist moved , seconded by C. Grudnoske, that the Park and <br /> Recreation Committee again Inform the Council of the importance of <br /> protecting the bank adjacent to the holding pond and Karth Lake, <br /> and Lexington Ave. in Cummings Park. The widening of Lexington Ave. <br /> in front of Cummings Park should be discouraged on the Arden Hills <br /> side. <br /> • <br />
