<br />180 <br /> <br />RJ!X}ULAR MEETING <br />COUNCIL FOR THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />Monday, February 28, 1955 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8;00 by Mayor Ashbach. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll Cell: All members present. <br /> <br /> <br />... The minutes of the January jl meeting were read by the clerk. A correction <br /> <br /> <br />was requested by Trustee Hoyt. which WaS make without objection. Minutes <br /> <br />were approved as ammended. <br /> <br />Mr. Harold Thornes. 4519 Highway 10. President of the Round Lake <br /> <br /> <br />Improvement Association presented the Council with a letter objecting <br /> <br /> <br />to the R-J zone classification for the area as presented by the zoning <br /> <br /> <br />committee. The association requested that the area be zoned R-I. Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />Ashbach gave one copy of the letter to Dr. Hoyt for Planning Board <br /> <br />consideration. and one copy to clerk for files and for Council use when <br /> <br />the zoning comes before the Council. <br /> <br />Mrs. stromquist gave Dr. Hoyt a letter from Mr. Milner Carley containing <br /> <br /> <br />objections to the proposed residential zoning of some property owned by <br /> <br /> <br />him at corner of Hightlay 96 and Highway 10. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Chester partytka. 4676 Highway 8 objected to the rezoning of Mounds <br /> <br /> <br />Avenue and View Avenue from residential to Industrial. Dr. Hoyt invited <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Partytka to an open meeting on rezoning to be held March 1. by the <br /> <br /> <br />zoning committee at the Village Hall. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Manual appe~xed before the Council objecting to a dog nusinance <br /> <br /> <br />... at Hamline Ave. and Amble Rd. The residents requested a dog ordinance be <br /> <br /> <br />drawn up. A neighbor of II.I'. ~lanual raises several dogs(20-jO) and the dogs <br /> <br />create a problem in the neighborhood concerning noise. sanitation. and <br />sa:fety to the children. Mr. Sa,litros. Constable for the Village <br />favored a nog ordinRnce. e.s the Police Dept. has received complaints <br />concerning nags from all parts of the ville~e. Following discussion <br />
