<br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />CO@CIL OF TEE VILIAGE OF ARDEN HILIS <br />Monday, July 2, 1956 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:04 by Mayor Ashbach. <br />Roll Call: Present; Ashbaoh, MoClung, Delange, Hoyt, Mr. <br /> <br />2lU <br /> <br />Keys for Mr. <br />Courtney <br /> <br />Abaent; Stromquist <br />Mr. Charles Amble requested permission to conduct a firework display July 4, <br />1966 , the display to be conduoted by Mr. Raymond Sawyer on the Amble <br />property adjoining Minnow Lake.Motion was made by Delange and seconded by <br />McClung that permission ~ granted. Motion passed. <br /> <br />.Tom Lannasso, owner of a lot in Jos. Lake Park appeared to object to allowing <br />building on the 42 foot lot adjoining his property on the North as requested <br />by Mr. Friedman. <br />Mr. Vern Luther, 1517 Glenhill Rd appeared to request action on the correotion <br />of a sewage problem adjacent to his lot. Dr. Hoyt was asked to oontaot Dr. <br />Sekhon relative to requireing correction of the problem. <br /> <br />Mr. A. G. Rein -'I ....., discussed zoning of the land at County Road E and <br />Lexington Avenue. He recommended and requested consideration of commeroial <br />zoning of a parcel 500' deep en tending West l3l7 feet from Lexington Ave. <br />South of Co. Rd. E and extending 872 feet South of Co. Rd. E West of <br />Lexington Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr'. John Grudnoske requested commeroial zoning of a track from Hamline <br />Avenue entending West 800' and 300' deep South of Highway 96. <br /> <br />Mr. Alban, 3645 N. Hamline appeared to giscuss the problem of the Daley dog <br />kennel at 3673 Hamline Avenue. He stated that it had been operated as a <br />kennel by Mrs. Kelly after about 1946 or 1947. Mrs. Alban discussed the <br />nuisance phase of the operation and many problems of a personal nature. <br />N~. Barish, who originally complained about the burning of kennel refuse <br />which has been oorredted, objeoted to the noise created by the dogs. <br />Mayor Ashbach suggested that Mrs. Daley be given five months time in whioh <br />to oease operation of the kennel. <br />The Counoil resolved on motion by Hoyt and seconded by Delange that their <br />feelings on the matter be expressed as concerned for the welfare of all <br />parties involved and that they request all parties to am make every effort <br />to avoid the conflict and that the kennel operation be ceased by December <br />1, 1956. A motice is to be sent to Mrs. Daley and to the parties petitioning <br />the Council by letter of July 2, 1956. <br /> <br />Mr. Harold O'Laughlin appeared concerning the rezooing of the Newman lot. <br /> <br />Mr. W.J. Behr appeared to object the the rezoning of this property. <br /> <br />. Hoyt moved and McClung seoonded approval of the Wilmus Plat which was <br />presented at the last meeting of the Council. Motion passed. <br /> <br />A hearing was held on the Arden Hills Zoning Ordinance. The ordinanoe <br />was discussed.
