<br />260 <br /> <br />illINUTES OF ~EG~L\R 1illETING <br />COlNCIL OJ:' TEE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br />Monday, January 28, 1957 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by N~yor Ashbach at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Roll CaLL: All Council members and Attorney present. <br /> <br />The minutes of the January 2, 1957 regular meeting and the January 15 <br />special meeting were read by Cler'k and approved by the Council. <br /> <br />.N~S. Stromquist was sworn into office of Clerk by Village Attorney, Mr. <br />Courtney. <br /> <br />Mr. Rysgaad appeared before Council concerning the Zilliox Plat, questioning <br />whether or not the pla t has been filed and the ped'ormance bond turned in, <br />and the wor'k on the roads c omple ted, and if not, wha t action can be taken <br />to get it done. Upon motion by Delange, seconded by Winfrey, 1~. Courtney <br />will write to 1tr. Stepnitz in regard to 1tr. Rysgaad's request. Motion passed <br /> <br />Ntr. Thompson, representing !as. Charlotte Daley appeared and requested <br />the Council to reconsider the closing of the Daley dog kennel. After <br />Council discussion, HoS.t moved and Stromquist seconded t.'le motion that t;1.e <br />polic e Chief and the Public Safety C05.mi t tee meet wi th II~. Thomps on and <br />try to work out a solution to the problem, and if a common ground agreement <br />cannot be reached by the next meeting of the Council, action will be taken <br />to close the kennel. 'Ninfrey will have <br />some civil defense material published in the Rose 'rribune. ;\i1'. 'Neber, <br />Police ChilllH stated 'Ghat a civil defense training class is to be started in <br />New Brightonand will be held one night per week for eight weeks. Any Arden <br />Hills residents interested are requested to attend the classes. The class <br />will ~e government sponsored if at least 32 people attend the class. <br />
