<br />> . ,\ .. ,. <br />MINUTES OF REGUIAR MEETING <br />COUNCIL OF- THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br />Monday, February 23, 1959 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Mayor ,lishbach. <br />Roll Call: Present; AShbach, Winfrey, Crepeau, Kennedy, Stromq~ist. <br />Absent; None. <br />The Minutes' of February 9; '1959 were read and approved as amended. <br />Mr. Alvin Rossler, 1964 Mounds Avenue stated hepw:rchased a new hOIlll3 from <br />Albert Kleidon in April, 1958. Since purchase the stUI!l.CO on outside is <br />truning brown and cracking, the nails ahd floor tiles in the kttchen are <br />. coming loose and the outside draihfield and ceesspool is not working. <br />Matter referred to Village Attorney. <br /> <br />Mr. Rullell Herman, 3833 New Brighton. Road requested permission to build <br />a double house at 3829 New Brighton tload. As the area is presently <br />zoned for single family dwellings only, the matter was refer-red to the <br />Public Walfare Committee. <br /> <br />The Lake Johanna Yol. Fire Dept. requested six copies '01' a map showing <br />all village street"a.. Engineer Carley was requested to make a dozen <br />copies of such a map, the additional copies to go to village officers. <br /> <br />The Fire Department officials complained of tree branches growing over- <br />head on Lake Johanna Blvd. Kennedy to contact Ramsey County officials as <br />it is a county road. <br /> <br />PUblic Wellare Committee: Mr. Winfrey reported that C.G. Rein hopes to <br />build several model homes ~his coming spring in the proposed Rei~Addition. <br />Engineer Carley submitted a letter of February 23 to council of tlbformation <br />concerning the proposed plat. Letter filed with Clerk. <br /> <br />Mr. Winfrey reported tha.this coIlilllitteehasthe proposed plat ofShorew()od <br />Hills #7 and will come in with recommendations to council on it in the near <br />future. <br /> <br />Mr. Winfrey presented, for study, proposed subdivsiion regulations. <br /> <br />A letter contaillhg recommehdations on alleyvurnaroundand Ridgewood <br />Court matter JIlaxxx.IIti:lixi!l;ptW:i:H:f%a): from Planning Consultant Talbot Jones <br />was read by Winfrey. Letter filed with Clerk. <br /> <br />PUblic Safety Committee: A Ust of all advertising signs in village, made <br />by police department was presented council. Clerk to check it with prior <br />survey mady by Roy Owen, former building inspector, and report back to <br />council. <br />aublic Works Committee: Mr. Kennedy discussed possible annexation of s. <br />~ortion of New BrightonYillage to Arden Hills. Mayor Ashbach to discuss <br />matter with Nww Brighton's mayor. . <br /> <br />Mr. KennEldy informed council he has a request for "Children, Go Slow" <br />signs at Glenpaul Road. Mayor Ashbach informed hin it has been the <br />village policy to put up the signs if a request is made for them. <br /> <br />Council requested Clerk to put notice in the Rose Tribune that load limit <br />will be put on village streets about l\brch 15. Trustee Kennedy was <br />authorized to order 3 ton load limit 51gns posted whe~ n~eded. l' <br />A public hearing Re: Vacation of portion of Glenarden oa was set or <br /> <br />March 30 as per attached resolution. <br />
