Charlotte McNissh, Deputy Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF PUBLiC WORKS SUPERVISOR HANS JOHANSEN <br /> <br />1975 Sealcoating Program <br />Johansen described the proposed Vil!age street sealcoating project for <br />1975, and submitted a map which marked streets,to be seaicoated in <br />1975, In blue. <br /> <br />Johansen said he is not certain, at this tIme, If the frontage road <br />(Highway 96 to 14th Street N.E.) is to be included; does not know <br />whether thIs is the obligation of the CIty or State, but agreed to <br />contact State re agreement for frontage road maIntenance, prior to <br />preparation of specifications for project. <br /> <br />After discussion, Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that the Counci I <br />authorize the Engineer to prepare specifications for the 1975 seal- <br />coating project, as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />(Christoffersen wa~~uesi~d to prepare specifications and contract <br />to assure Vi Ilage or;;-Trxe~nit price bids.> <br /> <br />Meter.Testing Information Release <br />Johansen referred Council to his memo of 3/12/75, and attached letter <br />of meter testing information, which Badger Meter, Inc. has requested <br />permission to release to their customers. <br /> <br />After discussion, Counci I concurred with Johansen's letter, and release <br />of Information requested, providing Item #3 can be substant~ated re <br />60% increase in revenue for Arden Hills, after meters were repaired. <br /> <br />Proposed Tree Remova i at Booster Station <br />Johansen reported that two large maple trees, apparently damaged during <br />construction of the booster station, should probably be removed from <br />the booster station site. <br /> <br />Counci I concurred with the removal of the trees, after verification by <br />the City Forester that they are, in fact, diseased or dead. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />New Brighton Road - Glenpaul Dralnago <br />J.oh.ans.en reported that the drainage project, completed last year at <br />New Brighton Road and Glenpaui Avenuo intersection, has apparently <br />rectified the pondi~g problem which formerly existed in thIs area <br />during the spring thawing period and after heavy rains. He explained <br />that the north side of Glenpaul Avenue was "Skin-patched" last fall; <br />appears that a good patch was applier, and if properly located, should <br />prevent run-off and ponding north of Glenpaul Avenue. <br /> <br />REPORT OF VILLAGE ENGINEER DONALD CHRISTOFFERSEN <br /> <br />Proposed Up-gradln~ of lexington Avenue <br />ChrIstoffersen introduced Deanne Anklan, Ramsey County Engineer; <br />Wayne leonard, Ramsey County Highway Departmen~George Dimke, Eugene <br />Hickock and Mike Zagar, representing the Rice Cree~ Watershed District. <br /> <br />.-' - <br />
