<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 31, 1997 <br />7:30 P.M. - NEW BRIGHTON COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br />CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Probst called to order a Closed Executive <br />Session of the City Council to discuss potential litigation. Present were Mayor Dennis <br />Probst, Councilmembers Paul Malone, Susan Keirn, Dale Hicks and Beverly Aplikowski; <br />Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator; and John Miller, City Attorney. <br /> <br />The Executive Session of the meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m. and concluded at 7:20 p.m., <br />at which time the Council recessed momentarily. Mayor Probst reconvened the regular <br />Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. to facilitate the business schedule to be conducted. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Dennis Probst called to order the regular <br />City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Dennis Probst, Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, Dale Hicks, <br />Susan Keirn, and Paul Malone. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Also present were: City Attorney, John Miller; City Administrator, Brian Fritsinger; City <br />Accountant, Terry Post; Public Works Superintendent, Dwayne Stafford; City Engineer, <br />Terry Maurer; and Recording Secretary, Cindy Schneider. <br /> <br />ADOPT AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Aplikowski moved and Keirn seconded a motion to adopt the agenda for the <br />March 31, 1997, Regular City Council meeting as presented. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING -1997 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />Mayor Probst opened the meeting by explaining to citizens present the order of the meeting. He <br />explained Council would discuss the scope of the project first, particularly whether Hamline and <br />Snelling would be included in the 1997 street improvement projects. He asked that Council first <br />be allowed to discuss this issue amongst themselves, and then the public hearing would be <br />opened. <br />
