<br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 20, 1998 <br />4:45 P.M. - ARMY RESERVE CENTER <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Acting Mayor, Dale Hicks, called to order the <br />special City Council meeting at 4:50 p,m, <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski and Paul Malone, with <br />Councilmember Susan Keim arriving at 4:52 p,m, <br /> <br />Mayor Probst was not present. <br /> <br />Also present were City Administrator, Brian Fritsinger; Community Development <br />Director, Kevin Ringwald; Public Works Superintendent, Dwayne Staflord; Parks and <br />Recreation Director, Cindy Walsh; and Administrative Secretary, Sheila StowelL <br /> <br />ADOPT AGENDA <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />City Administrator Fritsinger advised Councilmembers that the Bond Issue, for which the <br />Special Council meeting was originally scheduled, had been delayed due to the Welsh timetable, <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a <br />motion to adopt the agenda for the January 20, 1998, Special City Council <br />meeting as presented, The motion carried unanimously (3-0), <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />A. Claims and Payroll <br /> <br />City Administrator Fritsinger provided a bench handout of a revised Claims Report, reducing the <br />total amount of claims submitted in the Council packet from $241,909,11 to $241,680.11, due to <br />a reduction in Check No, 13418 for a fee to the Minnesota Department of Health, <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone moved and Councilmember Aplikowski seconded a <br />motion to approve the Consent Calendar as submitted and autborize execution of <br />all necessary documents contained therein, The motion carried unanimously (3- <br />0), <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS <br />COlillcilmember Malone inquired of staff on the status of the City's current bond rating, <br /> <br />. City Administrator Fritsinger responded that, in ongoing conversations between Standard and <br />Poors and City staff, the City's bond rating was still certified, Mr, Fritsinger stated, however, <br />
