Crepeau, Jr., Councilmen Robert Woodburn, <br />Charles Crichton, Ward Hanson, James Wingert. <br />Absent - None. <br />Also Present - Attorney James Lynden, Planner Richard Fredlund, <br />Treasurer Donald Lamb, Public Works Supervisor Hans <br />Johansen, Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, Deputy <br />Clerk Dorothy Zehm. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Hanson moved, seconded by Crichton, that Council approve the Minutes <br />of the Regul ar Counci I Meeti ng of January iO, 1977, as subml tted, and <br />the Minutes of the Special Councii Meetings of January 17th and 24th, <br />1977, as amended. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERViSOR HANS JOHANSEN <br /> <br />Standby Generator Bids <br />Johansen referred Councl I to Tabulation of Bids for Standby Electric <br />Generating Unit, received on 1/28/77, notIng that Engineer Ellison <br />has reviewed the bids, advising that low bid from Jeffco Power <br />Systems meets the specifications. Johansen stated that the bid is <br />about $2,000 over anticipated cost, $9,595 over budgeted costs. <br /> <br />After discussion, matter was referred to the Public Works Committee <br />for Its recommendations to Counci I at Its February 14th Meeting. <br /> <br />Re b u I I d LI f t S tat Ion No.5 <br />Johansen referred Councl I to his memo of 1/26/77 and reported that <br />the Public Works Committee recommends that Council authorize <br />preparation of plans and specifications for the rebuilding of <br />Sewer Lift Station No.5. <br /> <br />Johansen Indica'ted areas of Village which feed into No.5 Lift; <br />advised that wires and controls are badly rusted: parts are difficult <br />to obtain; a non-ratchet driver must be used which does not permit <br />It to function properly and could cause a "snapped shaft". <br /> <br />After discussion, Woodburn moved, seconded by CrIchton, that Counei <br />authorize Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for the up- <br />grading of Lift Station No.5. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Replacement of Storm Grates <br />Johansen reported that the Pubiic Works Committee recommends that <br />Counc! I authorize the purchase of r,afety storm sewer grates from <br />Badger Iron Works of Menomonee, Wisconsin; advised that price of <br />grates Is the same as quoted last year. <br /> <br />Johansen ncted that the 97 old grates to be replaced can be sold <br />for scrap at Menomonee at about $80/ton. <br /> <br />After discussion, Crichton moved, seconded by Wingert, that Council <br />authorize Johansen to proceed with the purchase of safety storm sewer <br />grates from Menomonee, Wisconsin as outlined in memc of 1/26/77. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Used High Pressure Sewer Cleaner <br />,Iohansen referred Counel I to Advertisement for Bids, Specs, Proposal <br />Form and Contract documents for a Used High Pressure Sewer Cieaner. <br />Johansen said documents have been approved by Attorney Lynden. Counci I <br />authorized Johansen to proceed with advertisement for bids as proposed. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
