<br />Minutes of Special Council Meeting <br />Village of Arden Hills <br />Thursday, JUne 25, 1981 - 7:00 a.m. <br />McGuire's Inn <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Woodburn <br />called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present <br /> <br />- Mayor Robert Woodburn, Councilmen James <br />Wingert, Diane McAllister, Maurice Johnson, <br />Janet Hollenhorst <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Absent - None <br /> <br />Also Present - Clerk Administrator Charlotte McNiesh, <br />Representatives of the Arden Hills <br />Business Community <br /> <br />Purpose of Meeting <br />The meeting was scheduled, at the request of the business <br />community, to review the status of various improvements and <br />discuss commercial/industrial development in the Village. <br /> <br />Areas of Discussion <br />County Road E - Underground utilities are currently being <br />installed, street ligh}ing bid award scheduled for June 29th <br />Council Meeting, MnDOT plans for semaphores at east and west <br />ramps of Highway 51. Bids have been somewhat lower than <br />estimated in feasihi1ity report. <br /> <br />Ramsey County Improvement of Lexington Avenue <br />Mayor Woodburn stated that the earliest construction could <br />start would be next spring, semaphore is to be installed <br />at Lexington/County Road F intersection, widening of Lexing- <br />ton Avenue is contingent upon 694/Lexington Avenue Storm <br />Drainage Project. <br /> <br />Storm Drainage Improvement <br />Engineer is completing plans and specifications, advertise- <br />ment for bids on project will probably be in July. <br /> <br />Grey Fox Ro ad <br />Council has authorized preparation of plans and specifications. <br /> <br />Flaherty's Gas Station <br />Concern was expressed by the business community regarding this <br />eyeaore on County Road E. Business community would like to <br />see undeveloped land on County Road E developed. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />Agendas <br />Council concurred with a request to furnish agendas for Council <br />and Planning Commiasion Meetings to McGuire's and EUlene Cole- <br />stock. Agendas to be sent Friday preceding meetinga. Next <br />Town Crier will include notice of agenda locations. <br /> <br />Future Meetings <br />Busineas community suggested continuing these special meetinga <br />on a quarterly basis, either as breakfaat meetings at 7:.a.m. <br />or afternoon meetings from 5 - 7 p.m. <br /> <br />Ad:lour.. .!nt <br />Meeting was adj~urned at 8:10 <br /> <br />a.m. <br /> <br />~' .
