<br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />VI I lage of Arden Hills <br />Wednesday, February II, 1981 - 7:00 p.m. <br />Public Works Conference Room <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Pursuant to due cal I and notice t~ereof, Mayor Crichton called the <br />meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Present - Mayor Charlie Crichton, Councilmen Maurice Johnson, Diane <br />McAI lister, Janet Hollenhorst, Robert Woodburn. <br />Absent - None. <br />Also Present - Village Engineer Donald Christoffersen and Village <br />Treasurer Donald Lamb <br /> <br />McAI lister expressed deep concern with the Council for holding t~ls <br />. S~~~:~)Meetlng tonight on top of her already busy schedulet'-1Uv.at~ <br /> <br />~'I~~t;~/694 Drainage Discussion <br />Woodburn presented a history of the activities concerning the~exlng- <br />ton/694 Drainage" since 1970. <br /> <br />Christoffersen presented the actual plan as It Is being considered <br />today (Alternate Cl whl~~, haa~eneral concurrence from the engineer- <br />Ing people representl~~~~re~ew, MnDOT and Ramsey County. He also <br />explained the latest proposed cost breakdown method among the four <br />governmental entitles. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Lamb explained the financing alternatives available to the City as <br />well as the cost recovery alternatives. <br /> <br />Johnson moved that Councl I proceed to prepare for a Public Hearing <br />on the Lexlngton/694 Drainage project using Alternate C plans and <br />the latest proposed cost breakdown method, authorizing the Attorney <br />to prepare appropriate agreements with Shorevlew (and Ramsey County, <br />as approprlatel and with Shorevlew and MnDOT. and authorizing the <br />Engineer to take sol I borings on Pond A-3. The Shorevlew agree- <br />ment should contain provisions that Arden Hills will be the "Prime <br />Contractor" and that Shorevlew will pay Its share of each expense <br />Item to Arden HI I Is as Arden Hills pays It. Motion was seconded <br />by McAI lister and passed unanlmcusly. <br /> <br />After discussion of the advisability of connecting the two parts <br />of Grey Fox Road and upgrading 'If to MSA standards at the same time <br />as the storm sewer work on Grey Fox In the Lexlngton/694 Drainage <br />project, Hol lenhorst moved that the Engineer prepare a feasablllty <br />report on Grey Fox Road Including survey work.
