Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m. ROLL CALL 'Ihe roll bein;J called the followin;J members were present: Mayor 'Ihamas Sather, Counci1members Nancy Hansen, Paul Malone, JoAnn Growe and 'Ihamas Mahowald. Also present: Plarmer John Bergly, Treasurer Frank Green, Park Director John Buckley, Public Works SUperintendent Dan Winkel, Clerk Administrator Gary Berger and Deputy Clerk Catherine Iago. CALL 'IO ORDER CWSED SESSION; IABOR NEXDI'IATIONS Council discussed the proposed 1991 labor Contract between 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. PERFORMANCE E.VAL; PARK DIR. BUU<LEY Cotmcil held an annual perfonnance evaluation for Park Director John Buckley between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. AOOPl' AGENDA Hansen moved, seconded by Malone, to adopt the January 14 Agenda as suJ:xnitted. Motion ca=ied unanimously. (5-0) APPROVE Councilmember Malone recalled the discussion relatin;J to MINUI'ES repealin;J Section 20-22, of Ordinance 276, 1tIhich was adopted at the January 2 Cotmcil Meetin;J. He stated the motion on page 3 of the minutes included an amendment to repeal of Section 20-22, of Ordinance 276, 1tIhich established a quorum. He questioned if the Ordinance was published with the section listed as repealed. . Deputy Clerk Iago advised the revision was included in the published dOClnllellt. Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to approve the January 2 Council minutes, as amended on page 3, relatin;J to Ordinance 276, to include an amendment repealin;J Section 20-22. Motion ca=ied unanimously. (5-0) CONSENT CALEl'IDAR Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to approve the Consent Calendar and authorize execution of all necessary dOClllllE!llts contained therein: a. Authorization to Enforce Tenq:lorary Sign Permits on Weekends. b. Approval of List of Claims and Payroll. Motion ca=ied unanimously. (5-0) PUBLIC mMMENTS None. Case #90-15; SEl'BACK VARIANCE, 3294 LK. JOHANNA BLVD., LILIA Cotmcil was referred to Planner Bergly's report and the Planning minutes dated 1-9-90, relatin;J to Case #90-15, Front Yard Setback Variance, 3294 Lake Johanna Blvd., Duane and Margaret Lilla. 'Ihe Planner reviewed the items for consideration in relation to this request and the findings of fact relatin;J to identification of a hardship due to topography and unusual lot configuration. . Bergly explained the applicant is requestin;J a 10 ft. setback variance to accammodate a three-car garage on the lot. He advised the Planning Conunission recammended approval of a 5 ft. setback variance, 1tIhich would be aCCOllplished by reducing the size of the proposed garage to 34 ft. x 22 ft. and slightly adjustin;J the location of the proposed home on the site.
