CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 377 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF COST INCURRED BY THE <br /> CITY TO ABATE CERTAIN NUISANCES AND TO RECOVER COST THROUGH SPECIAL <br /> ASSESSMENTS <br /> The Arden Hills City Council ordains that Sections 600.03, Subd. 4, and 600.06 <br /> Subd. 2 of the Arden Hills City Code are hereby amended and Section 600.06, Subd. 3 <br /> is hereby added to the Arden Hills City Code to read as follows: <br /> 600.03, Subd 4. All buildings and structures which have been damaged by <br /> fire, decay, or other means to such an extent as to endanger public safety and <br /> which are not otherwise included in the definition of "hazardous building" in <br /> M.S. 463.15, subd. 3; <br /> 600.06, Subd. 2. Special Assessment. If the City incurs any cost in <br /> order to abate the following nuisances, the City may levy a special <br /> . assessment against the property benefited: <br /> (1 ) Removal of snow, ice or rubbish from sidewalks. <br /> (2) Elimination of weeds from private property. <br /> (3) Elimination of public health or safety hazards, as defined in Arden <br /> Hills Code Section 600.02 and Section 600.03 from private <br /> property, excluding any structures included under the provisions <br /> of M.S. 463.15 to 463.26. <br /> (4) The trimming and care of trees and the removal of unsound trees <br /> from private property. <br /> (5) The treatment removal of insect infested or diseased trees on <br /> private property. <br /> (6) The cost of reinspections which find non-compliance after the due <br /> date for compliance with an order to correct the City <br /> maintenance code violation. <br /> (7) Painting the exterior of a structure to remedy a City Code <br /> violation. <br /> . <br />
