<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-13 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADDING COMMENT TO <br />THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL METRO TRANSIT, SECTIONS 1 AND 2, <br />RESTRUCTURING STUDY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has supplied the City of Arden Hills copies of the Sectors <br />1 and 2 Restructuring Study, Volume II: Service Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council attended a City Council Worksession on February 22, <br />2000 and reviewed the aforementioned study with the City of Arden Hills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills agrees that changes need to be made to the Metro Transit <br />system and service to make it more convenient, accessible and effective. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, <br />Minnesota that: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The City hereby accepts the Sectors 1 and 2 Restructuring Study, Volume II: <br />Service Plan. <br /> <br />2. The City hereby encourages the Metropolitan Council to consider extending <br />proposed Route 225 North along the east side of Lake Johanna to Bethel College <br />and return along the same route to serve Bethel College students, faculty, staff and <br />surrounding residents. <br /> <br />3. The Metropolitan Council review the proposed transit restructuring plan in light <br />of the Livable Communities Act to ensure coordination and consistency between <br />the two. <br /> <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THIS 28th DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2000. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />JO <br /> <br />
