<br />. <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 84-6 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING EXPANSION OF LAKE JOHANNA <br />VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT FACILITIES AT LEX- <br />INGTON AND COUNTY ROAD I, <br />SHOREVIEW <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department <br />has recommended that addition of a third fire station be con- <br />sidered for the northern area of Shorevlew along Lexington <br />Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of Arden Hills, Shorevlew, and <br />North Oaks have been requested to financially support such an <br />addition jointly, based on the current formula established <br />for contracting with the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Depart- <br />ment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the projected costs of such an expansion In <br />plant, men and equipment has not been fully disclosed and <br />discussed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Immediate, Intermediate, and long term <br />benefits of such an expansion are not evident for the City of <br />Arden Hi I Is and its residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the addition of a third station in the City <br />of Shoreview, supported by the City of Arden Hills based on <br />the current contract formula, may cause undue financial hardship <br />to the City of Arden HI lis and its residents; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Arden Hills City <br />Council that the City of Arden Hills does not financially support <br />the acquisition of land and equipment for such an expansion and <br />addition at this time. <br /> <br />Adopted this 27th day of February, 1984. <br /> <br />~ <br />Attest: <br /> <br />f2l~~ <br /> <br />Charlotte MCNiesh <br />Clerk Administrator <br /> <br />~~i1r'I/L- <br /> <br />bert L.
