<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-18 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR A INTERIM STRATEGY TO REDUCE NONPOINT <br />POLLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been requiring since early 1993 that local <br />governments adopt an "Interim Sf,t'ategy to Reduce Nonpoint Pollution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has not yet adopted the "Strategy"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is required to adopt this "Strategy" prior to any furure <br />changes to the Municipal Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills. <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills will apply Narural Urban Runoff Program (NURP) <br />standards for the design of a new stormwater ponds and the MPCA'S Urban Areas <br />to the review of any proposed development occuring in the City to reduce <br />nonpoint source pollutant loadings in stormwater runoff. The City of Arden Hills <br />will incorporate these standards and requirements in its stormwater management <br />plan and land use controls to implement this policy. <br /> <br />2. The City of Arden Hills will prepare and adopt specific amendments to its <br />stormwater plan and land use controls by September 30, 1995. The Metropolitan <br />Council will be notified after the amendments have been adopted. <br /> <br />3. The City of Arden Hills will work with the Department of Natural Resources to <br />adopt the revised shoreland regulations consistem with the DNR's schedule of <br />priorities.
