<br /> ~ <br /> ~~ILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> ST ATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 07-22 <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL GRANT <br />API}LICA TION FOR VALENTINE HILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TRAIL <br /> CONNECTIONS. <br />\VHEREAS, the City Council authorized City Staff at its regular meeting on <br />November 27, 2006 to apply for funding through MNfDOT's Safe Routcs to School <br />Program; and <br />\VHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills proposes to provide safe access and eormcctions <br />to Valentine Hills Elemcntary via new trails along County Road E2 and through Ramsey <br />County Open Space; and <br />\VHEREAS, thc City of Ardcn Hills approved a Comprehensive Parks and <br />Recreation Open Space Plan in 2002 and Updated Strategies to this plan in 2006 that include <br />commitment to the proposcd trails and future cOlUlections; and <br />\VHEREAS, thc improvement will benefit the City of Ardcn Hills, Mounds View <br />School District No. 621, and Ramsey County; and <br />\VHEREAS, the City of Ardcn Hills is committed to a cooperative effort with School <br />District 621 and Ramsey County to maintain the proposed trails year-round; and <br />\VHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is committed to providing in-kind donations in <br />regards to {irc hydrant relocation to assist with the construction of this project; and <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City of Arden Hills suppor1s the grant <br />application through the Minnesota Department of Transportation's Safe Routes to School <br />Program for Valentine Hills Elementary School trail conncctions and is committed to <br />completing this project if funding is provided, <br />IlMelro,inel uslardenhillslAdminlCounallResoluijons\2007107,22, Supporting a Safe Routes 10 School Grant.doc <br />
