<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> • STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RA,.MSEY <br /> <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 208 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 28-56(a) AND <br /> (g) OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CQDE RELATING <br /> ' TO WATER RATES AND DEMAND CNARGES <br /> <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Arden Hills ordains <br /> that Chapter 28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Arden <br /> Hills, Minnesota,'be amended in the following respeets: <br /> 1.. Amendment to Sec. 28-56(a) of Code Relating to <br /> Water Rates and Demand Charges. Subsections (a) and (g) ot <br /> Sec. 28-56 of the Arden Hills City Code of Ordinances are hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "(a) The rate due and payable by each water user <br /> within the city for water taken from the water system <br /> shall be as established in resolutions adopted from <br /> time to time by the city council." <br /> <br /> <br /> "(g) In addition to the foregoing charges for <br /> water consumption, each water user within the city shall <br /> pay an additional quarterly demand charge for the pur- <br /> pose of couering certain fixed costs of the city in <br /> maintaining the municipal water system, which charges <br /> shall be as establi.shed in resolutions adopted frorn time <br /> to time by the city council. The owner of a parcel of impraved residential <br /> <br /> property, any portion of which is located within four <br /> hundred (400) feet of a fire hydrant, shall also pay <br /> such quarterly demand or stand-by charge as is estab- <br /> lished from time to time by resolution adopted by the <br /> city council even though such property is not conneeted <br /> to the municipal water system. <br /> Similarly, the owner of any parcel of improved <br /> or nonresidential property, any portion of which is <br /> located within four hundred (400) feet of a city fire <br /> hydrant, shall pay such quarterly demand or stand-by <br /> eharge as is established by resolution adopted from <br /> time to time by the city council." <br /> 2. Effective Date. After its publication, this Ordinance <br /> shall be retroactively effective as of April l, 1979. <br />
