REPEAL. <br /> The fo0lowing provisionssof Ord3nance Number 16, together with ail amendmenfis <br /> at said provislons, are hereby repealed, said repealed sections being the following; <br /> to-wit: Section 4-7; Section 6-123 through Sec-Fion 6-134, incfusive. <br /> SECTION 2. DEFINiT(OMS. <br /> The foilowing terms used in this ordinance are hereby defined as foilows, +o-wit; <br /> <br /> 2°I Drawdown - The change in surface elevation of a body of wayer as the r-esult <br /> of the w i thdrawa ! of water therefrom. <br /> <br /> 2-2 Glaciat Drift - An assembiage of deposits Ieft by the mefting of an irF <br /> sheet of glacier. lt is compnsed of an accumuiation of unstratified materiaE ot all <br /> sizes which formed at the margin nf the ice. <br /> 2-2 Grout -!1 th i n mort<ir cons i st i ng of PortI and cernent and wa-'rer of Port! and <br /> cement, sand and water in the tollowing pr-oporfiions; <br /> <br /> (1) One sack cement to 4-1/2 fo 5-1/2 gallons of water. <br /> (2) One part cement, one part ciean sand and 4--I/2 to b;a{lons water, <br /> The sand grout shall be used oniy where abnormal lass of grout to <br /> crevices or faults occurs. <br /> 2-4 Log - A chronologicat record of the soil and rock for-mations encountered <br /> ih the operation of drilling a wefi, with ei#her their fihickness, or the eleva±!on <br /> of fhe top and bottom of each formation givenm It aiso includes statements as i-o <br /> the composition and water bear•ing characteristics of eaeh formation. <br /> 2-5 Turbidity - A condition of a liquid due to fine visibie mai-erial in sus- <br /> pension, which may not be of sufffcient size to be seen as individual particles by <br /> the naked eye but which prevents the passage of light through fihs liquid. <br /> <br /> 2-7 Yietd - The quantity of water flow (gatlon per minute or per hour) which <br /> can be coifected (pumped) f rom the weli. <br /> SECTIO1V 3. PERMITS. <br /> 3-1 A permit shall be requtred for #he construction of a new weif or for any <br /> ma jor reconstructi on of an exi sti ng we l 1 i n Arden Hi l P s. The C*ner of the sub ject <br /> property or h(s agent shall obtain a permit therefor from the Viitage Cierk, and shall <br /> pay a fee of $7.50 betore the issuance of such permifi. <br /> <br /> 3-2 Applicatfons for such permits shall be made in wrifiing upon such pri~;t:~~± <br /> forms furnished by #he Viltage Cterk for such purposes. <br /> 3-3 Any deepening of an existing weli ta at least the next deeper stratus <br /> shall constifiute a"major reconstrucfiion" within the mear?ing of this Ordinance. <br /> ~ <br /> 6 3-4 Permtts shall be vaiid for a period of nfnety days from i-hn date o` <br /> ~ issuance. <br /> F <br />
