<br /> <br /> <br /> -t <br /> ~ <br /> <br /> Legal Notice <br /> $TATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> YILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> ORDINANCE NUMBER 52 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDI- <br /> NANCE NUMBER 16, KNOWN AS THE <br /> ARDEN HILLS BUILDING LUDE, '1'0 <br /> INCLUDE LICENSING YROV1510NS <br /> FOR HOUSE SEWER CONTRAC'1OKS. <br /> • The Village Council of Arden Hills <br /> does hereby ordain as fo'llows: <br /> $ECTION 1. <br /> The following Sections of (hdinance <br /> Nuinber 16, knawn as the Arden Hills <br /> Bnilding Code, are hereby amended to <br /> read as follaws: <br /> 8-1 Befure any person, firm or carpo- <br /> ration shall engage in the business of <br /> doing or performing any of the var- <br /> ious types aE work listed in the Sec- <br /> tion, they shall first obtain a license <br /> td do so as hereinafter provided: <br /> Number I- Electric wiring. <br /> Number 2- Plumbing, including in- <br /> stallation of autside sewage disposal <br /> plants. <br /> Niunber 3- Heating. <br /> Number 4- Gas installation, inclur.l- <br /> ing heating, appliances, devices or <br /> machinery, ete. <br /> Number 5- Well drilling. <br /> Ntmber 6- House sewer contractar. <br /> No license shall be required for a <br /> hause szwer contractar performing <br /> ' work on or adjacent to his own prem- <br /> ises in the connectian of a house sew- <br /> er serving his awn property, noY shall <br /> a license be required from a plwmber <br /> holding a plnmbzr's ]icense in this <br /> Village. <br /> S-6 Each applicant,for a license shall <br /> satisfy the gnvemmg bady that he <br /> is camnetent by rcason o[ education, <br /> special training, experience and that <br /> he is eqwipped. td perform the Wark <br /> for which a license is requested in ac- <br /> cordance with all state laws, Villagz <br /> or town ordinances and this building <br /> code. <br /> 8-7 The governing baly shail have <br /> the power to suspend or revdke the <br /> license of any person, partnership, <br /> firm ar wrparation, ;icensed under <br /> the regulations of this cade, for anp <br /> vialatian aE the ordinances of this <br /> Village with respect to the work for <br /> which such license is granted, or in <br /> any instance where the woYk so per- <br /> formed is Raimd to be imgraper or <br /> defective ar so unsafe as to jeapar- <br /> dize life ar property, prdviding the <br /> person halding such license is given <br /> rivenTv (ZO) days natice and granted <br /> the opportunity to be heard before <br /> such actLon is taken. IF and when <br /> such natice is sent td the legal ad- <br /> dress of the licensee and he fails or <br /> refusea to appcar at the said hearing, <br /> his license will be autoanatically sws- <br /> pended or revoked five (5) days af- <br /> ter date of hearing. <br /> SECTION 2. <br /> Except as herein speciFically amended <br /> said Ordinance Number 16, subject to <br /> amendments not inc7ansistent with the <br /> prdvisians containzd herein, is in all <br /> things affirmed and ratified. <br /> SECTION 3. <br /> This Ordinance shall be in effect from <br /> and after its passage and publication. <br /> Adoptzd by the Village Council of Ar- <br /> den Hills this 28 day of Deoember, 1959. <br /> Robert O.
