tervitte PROCLAMATION <br /> 'Established 1851 Homelessness Awareness Month <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Community Continuum of Care, along with the Heading <br /> Home committee is sponsoring a unique, countywide education and awareness campaign <br /> to help end homelessness in our shared communities. The month of November will mark <br /> "Homeless Awareness Month "; and <br /> WHEREAS, the shoe and winter boot collection, "Creating a Path to Ending <br /> Homelessness ", provides a unique opportunity for local, creative individuals to join <br /> forces with communities across Anoka County in an effort to promote awareness of <br /> homelessness and to help end homelessness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Community Continuum of Care and the Heading Home <br /> Anoka committees play a vital role in bringing together the community and establishing <br /> needed partnerships to support preventing and ending homelessness; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of City of Centerville be aware of the <br /> importance of preventing and ending homelessness and the impact their participation can <br /> have on ensuring that all individuals and families have access to a warm, safe place to <br /> call home in our community; and <br /> NOW THEREFORE, I, Tom Wilharber, Mayor of the City of Centerville, on behalf of <br /> the City Council, do hereby call upon all citizens of Centerville to join the Anoka County <br /> Community Continuum of Care and Heading Home Anoka committees in supporting <br /> Homelessness Awareness during the month of November. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the month of November is hereby proclaimed <br /> "Homelessness Awareness" month in Centerville. <br /> Proclaimed this 14 day of October, 2012. <br /> ,. % t1z <br /> Tom Wilharber, Mayor <br /> ................... <br /> Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
