COUNTY OF ANOKA CITY OF CENTERVILLE RES. #15-0 /6 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS CERTIFIED TO ANOKA COUNTY FOR PID#R14-31-22-41-0018 FOR THE YEARS 2015-2017 & THE CORRECTION OF A TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR ON RES. #14-035 ASSOCIATED WITH FUND #84784 & PIN#R23-32-22-31-0017 REFERENCED ON THE DOCUMENT WHICH SHOULD HAVE READ PIN#R23-31-22-31-0017 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the Centerville City Council is authorizing the abatement of PIN #R14-31-22-41-0018 for the years 2015-2017 associated with County Fund#84750; and WHEREAS, the above stated assessment was paid in full on October 29, 2014, Check #7935 and mistakenly included with other assessments for certification; and WHEREAS, the Centerville City Council adopted Res. #14-035 which contained a special assessment for County Fund #84750, PIN #R23-32-22-31-0017 in the amount of$163.36, however, there is no such PIN and a mistake was noted by County Staff and brought to the attention of the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, upon further research, it was determined that PIN #R23-32-22-31-0017 was a typographical error and should have been PIN#R23-31-22-31-0017 instead; and WHEREAS, Anoka County Property Tax Division has acknowledged and certified $185.16 for year 2015- 2017; and WHEREAS, Anoka County Property Tax Division has acknowledged the typographical error and corrected on the City's behalf pending a correcting resolution; and WHEREAS, the Council has directed the City Clerk or Finance Director to make a request of Anoka County to abate the above stated special assessment due to the acceptance and receipt of payment in the amount of$500 from the property owners on October 29, 2014 as payment in full and acknowledge this resolution as a correction of the typographical error associated with PIN #R23-32-22-31-0017 and replacing it with PIN #R23- 31-22-31-0017 for County Fund #84784; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA directed and authorized the City Clerk or Finance Director to forward Exhibit A & Exhibit B to the County of Anoka and requests that they abate the assessment from the property records of PIN #R14-31-22- 41-0018 and appropriately correct the typographical error with PIN #23-32-22-31-0017 to PIN #23-31-22-31- 0017 County Fund#84784.
