Mer d1e nominations are received <br />from CenterviIJe citizens and business owners. d1e' appIica1Ions are distributed to nearly 30 <br />judges who determine through a voting process who the redpients of.d1e CItIzen and Busi- <br />ness Person of d1e Year wiD be. <br /> <br />1999 CENTERVILLE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR <br />AIMEE FAIRBROTHER <br /> <br />CenterviIJe's Economic Development CommIttee has awarded resident <br />Aimee FairbJ othw, this year's CItIzen of d1e Year. Aimee was nominated <br />for her comribudons and service to d1e City of CenterviDe. She was In- <br />volved in organizing CentervIIIe NeIghborhoocI Network, which was In- <br />strumentaIln d1e development of Acorn Creek Park. Aimee has also been <br />active with Fete De Lacs, d1e R.evitaIization Committee and NeJ&hborhood <br />Crime Watch, and several other city prQjed:s. In acIdidon, fairbrother has <br />been an ac:dve volunteer with ~t. Genevieve's CathoDe Church teaching and <br />orpnizing special events and CentervIIIe Elementary SchooL Aimee wiD be <br />recognized at the April 26 City Council Meedng. <br /> <br />1999 CENTERVILLE BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR <br />LLOYD DRlWNG <br /> <br />A CenterviIIe resident of 15 years. Lloyd DriIfinB, owner of 0 & T Inc. was <br />awarded CentervIIJe's Business Person of d1e Year. Lloyd was nominated <br />for his development of Apple Tree Square which currently holds six new <br />businesses serving d1e community. Drilling has plans for more commercial <br />development In CenteniDe. Lloyd previously served on CentervIIJe's Plan- <br />ning & Zoning CommIttee for many years.
