<br />April 22, 2020 <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />COVID-19 Response <br />Emergency Declaration <br />The City Council declared an emergency at a special meeting on March 18, 2020. The <br />declaration allows flexibility in fiscal and personnel policy matters when needed to <br />address needs related to the pandemic. It also affirms our ability to recover costs through <br />state and federal programs. <br /> <br />City Hall <br />Access to City Hall has been closed to the public since March 19. All permit applications <br />can be made on line. City staff has been updating the readerboard and website remotely. <br />The City Administrator, Clerk and Finance Director are working from home. With the <br />th <br />recent extension of the Stay at Home Order to May 4, we made the decision to setup our <br />part-time Receptionist for working at home. While she is working, phones are forwarded <br />to her. When she is not, they ring at city hall where our Accounting Clerk handles them. <br />Our Accounting Clerk is the sole person working in city hall. <br /> <br />Public Works <br />Our public works crew is now operating on a weekly, 2-on-2-off rotation. This is done to <br />weeks, staff members are responding to phone calls, receiving and responding to emails <br />via their phone and are expected to be within a 45-minute call-back range in case of an <br />emergency. <br /> <br />Parks <br />Playgrounds have been closed until <br />further notice. <br /> <br />Portable restrooms have not been <br />deployed to our parks. Staff feels as <br />though they would promote the spread <br />of COVID-19. The Parks and <br />Recreation Committee also voted <br />unanimously to continue with this policy <br />until conditions change. The city has <br />received comments from the public <br />asking for them to be placed. <br /> <br />Meetings <br />All Committee and Commission meetings (P&Z, P&R, EDA, Fete des Lacs and CC) are <br /> <br />
