CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 421-t00 <br />A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE A ROADWAY <br />EASEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Centerville accepted a GRANT OF EASEMENT containing temporary <br />roadway easements to accommodate the construction of a cul-de-sac on lands then owned by <br />Rehbein Properties. Those easements are on file with the Anoka County Recorder in document <br />number 1992466.009. <br />WHEREAS, this GRANT OF EASEMENT is in favor of the City and the purpose of that easement <br />was to afford a temporary cul-de-sac until such time as the roadway was connected to through <br />streets as part of future development. This purpose has now been accomplished with the <br />reconstruction of this roadway into a through street. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 4 L2.851, the City Council may initiate a public hearing <br />process to vacate these temporary roadway easements. <br />WHEREAS, City Staff and Consultants recommends the City Council vacate said temporary <br />roadway easement. Portions of the former cul-de-sac are now left unused and their temporary <br />roadway easements now serve no public purpose. It is in the public interest to return these unused <br />easements to their landowner(s). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Centerville, <br />Minnesota calls for a public hearing as follows: <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br />Notice is hereby given, the City of Centerville, Anoka County will be conducting a Public Hearing <br />on September 8, 2021, at 6:30 P.M. in the Centerville City Council Chambers, 1880 Main Street, <br />Centerville, MN 55038. The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to take public comment on the <br />proposed vacation of these temporary roadway easements. <br />Anyone wishing to make a comment on the proposed vacation of these temporary roadway <br />easements are invited to attend the Public Hearing. If you are unable to attend, written comments <br />are welcome and will be accepted until 4:00 P.M. on September 6, 2021. <br />A copy of the proposed vacation of the easement and survey drawing of the easement are on file <br />at Centerville for anyone wishing to view them. <br />
