<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />PROCLAMA TION FOR MEDIATION SERVICES FOR ANOKA COUNTY DA Y MAY 24, 2005 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mediation Services for Anoka County was formed in 1987 to provide voluntary mediation <br />services to residents of Anoka County, to promote and educate the Anoka County community in ways that <br />encourage peace and harmony, and to supplement the legal system by providing an alternative process all <br />community members can easily access; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mediation Services for Anoka County's volunteers contributed 3,492 hours of service to the <br />community totaling $204,625 bringing peace and resolution to Centerville's individuals, families, schools <br />neighborhoods, workplaces and businesses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mediation Services for Anoka County has provided a resource for law enforcement, Centerville <br />city staff and public officials and school district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, MSAC volunteers have assisted the citizens of Centerville to actively manage conflict and reduce <br />violence through education and conflict resolution services; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA AND <br />KNOWN TO ALL: <br /> <br />The City of Centerville hereby proclaims Tuesday, May 24, 2005 as Mediation Services for Anoka County <br />Day in the City of Centerville, Minnesota and urges all citizens to recognize the importance of community <br />service. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 11th day of May, 2005. <br /> <br />Attest <br /> <br />~~7J~ <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />LJn {h(f <br />Mayor '\ <br /> <br />(2a OflU <br />, <br />
