CENTERVILLE'S NEWSLETTER PLEASE REMEMBER THE ON-STREET PARKING RULES SUMMER 2005 Parking on any street within the hours of 3:00 Q.m. and 7:00 a.m. is prohibited. If you anticipate that you will have overnight guest(s) or your own vehicles will be temporarily parked on the street, please . contact City Hall and we will be happy to provide you with Q free park- ing permit. COUNTY WIDE CURFEW Ages 12 & Under: No later than 9:00 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday No later than 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday No later than 10:00 p_m~ on Sunday through Thursday No later than 11:.00 p~m. on Sunday through Friday No later than 11:00 p.m~ on Sunday through Thursday No later than 12 :00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday LAWN & GARDEN WATERING REGULATIONS Ages 12 to 14: Ages 15 to 17: Lawn and garden watering may only take place . before 10:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p~m. The odd even rule applies for all watering_ If your address ends in an even number, you may water only on even numbered days~ If your address ends in an odd number, you may water only on odd numbered days. If you have newly installed sod, you are exempt from this lawn & garden watering regulations for a period of two weeks. The City will place warning notices on homes that may not be. aware of the watering regulations. and are watering during the restricted times. This warning is an attempt to work with and educate residents prior to issuing violations. - 1:>11:) YOU KNOW???? Did you know that fences now require a fence permit? Did you know that placing a basketball hoop on your street is pro- hibited? Did you know that fences are requireq by ordinance with self- closing, self~latching gates for swimming pools with a depth of 24 inches or more? Did you know that fence height requirements have been modified from 6 feet to 4 feet for pools that are 24 inches or more in depth? Did you know that pool permits are required for pools that are more than 24 inches deep? TIPS ON BEING A GOOD NEIGHBOR.... ~ Now that the weather is warmer, more people are moving to the out- doors. It is time to think about the upkeep of the outside of your home and yard. Here are some reminders: o Keep lawns and weeds mowed. <> Vehicles which are not operable must be stored inside. .0 Keep firewood (stacked neatly) and compost piles 5 feet from property lines. . Qo Clean up after your pet. GARAGE SALE SIGNS The City wou I d Ii ke to request that if anyone sti II has not returned their garage sale signs to please do so. This will assist staff in a proper inventory So that in the coming years no garage sale host will have to be turned down for a sign. Garage Sales are a great way to recycle our old things and to make some extra money. When posting your garage sale sign, keep the fol- lowi ng in mind: o Remove signs promptly after the event has ended. o No signs should be placed in the right-of-way or on public utility po les ~ o Signs may be placed 0 n pr ivate property only with the permission of the property owner. o Signs shall not be displayed for more than 10 days~ The Public Works Department routinely removes illegal signs.
