<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota was duly held on the 28th of October, 1985 at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Curley, Franke, Kehr, and <br />Demos. <br /> <br />and the following were absent: Johnson. <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7822 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROPOSAL FOR A FOUNDATION GRANT <br />TO CONDUCT CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION TRAINING <br /> <br />WHEREAS 1.5 million Americans have heart attacks each year, and <br />more than 550,000 of them will die, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is convincing evidence that the immediate <br />application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation can save lives, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, in 1983, initiated a program of <br />offering CPR training free of charge, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a subsequent series of training sessions have indicated a <br />great interest CPR training, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council is committed to the objective <br />of offering CPR training free of charge to 6,000 persons in the <br />next three years, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, of the City <br />of Roseville, supports the proposal to be submitted to Foundations <br />for a grant to conduct a cardiopulmonary resuscitation training <br />program. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />this 28th day of October, 1985. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by member Kehr, and upon a vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: All present. <br />and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
