City of Roseville <br />Ethics Commission Meeting Minutes <br />September 12, 2007 <br />Call to Order <br />Mike Schneider called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br />Members Present <br />Mike Schneider, Melissa Weldon, Duane Cady. <br />Members Absent <br />LuAnne Pederson, David Apolloni <br />Others Present <br />Finance Director Chris Miller. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Cady moved for approval of the minutes of August 8, 2007. Weldon seconded the motion. All <br />Ayes. <br />Review /Approve Procedure to Review Reports of Alleged Ethical Violations <br />Schneider introduced the revised procedures to review reports of alleged ethical violations, <br />noting that the City Attorney had made the requested changes. No further changes were made. <br />Motion to approve the procedure was made by Weldon. Cady seconded the motion. All Ayes. <br />Review /Approve Procedure for Issuing Ethics Advisory Opinions <br />Schneider introduced the revised procedure for issuing ethics advisory opinions, noting that the <br />City Attorney had made the requested changes. No further changes were made. Motion to <br />approve the procedure was made by Cady. Melissa seconded the motion. All Ayes. <br />Review /Approve Outline of Ethics Training for 2007 <br />Schneider introduced the outline for ethics training submitted by the City Attorney, noting that <br />the outline was consistent with previous discussions and the training would be provided within <br />the Attorney's existing retainer. No further changes were made, but it was noted that the training <br />was tentatively scheduled to take place in December. Motion to approve the procedure was <br />made by Weldon. Cady seconded the motion. All Ayes. <br />Establish a Plan to Meet with the City Council <br />Schneider discussed a desire to meet with the City Council for the purposes of submitting as <br />information items, the Commission's procedure to review reports of alleged ethical violations <br />and the ethics training outline. In addition, the meeting would also allow the Commission to <br />submit for Council approval, the procedures for issuing ethics advisory opinions. The <br />Commission agreed to meet with the Council at an upcoming meeting, preferably in October. <br />1 <br />
