<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 12th day of October, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, Kehr, Johnson, Matson, <br />and Wiski, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Kehr introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8215 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION AND EXECUTION <br />OF GRANT PROJECT AGREEMENT TO DEVELOP OPEN SPACE UNDER THE <br />PROVISION OF THE STATE BONDED FUND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State Bonded Fund provides for the making of grants to <br />assist local governments in the acquisition and development of out- <br />door recreation projects; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville desires to develop certain land known <br />as Langton Lake Park, which land is to be held and used for permanent <br />open space; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order for the proposed project to be eligible for approval <br />there must be proof that it is part of a comprehensive outdoor recrea- <br />tion plan and five year action program (capital improvement); and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is estimated that the cost of developing said interest(s) <br />shall be $46,200; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon project approval, the City of Roseville must enter into <br />formal grant project agreements with the State for the specific pur- <br />pose of developing Langton Lake Park; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, specifies: <br /> <br />1. That an application be made to the State of Minnesota, Depart- <br />ment of Trade and Economic Development, Outdoor Recreation Grants <br />Section, for a grant from the Bonded Minnesota Laws 1987, Chapter <br />200, Section 8, subdivision 2(a) for an amount presently estimated <br />at $32,100, and the applicant will pay the balance of the cost <br />from other funds available to it; <br /> <br />2. That the Mayor of the City Council and City Manager are directed <br />to execute and file: a) such application and the five year action <br />program with the State of Minnesota, Department of Trade and <br />Economic Development, Outdoor Recreation Grants Section and to <br />provide additional information and furnish such documents as may <br />be required by said department; and b) to act as the authorized <br />correspondents of the applicant; <br />
