<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the city of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 27th day of February, 1989, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, Kehr, Johnson, Matson, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8420 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL ENDORSEMENT OF P.A.Y.E.R. APPLICATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, three hundred fifty (350) juveniles are arrested annually in <br />the City of Roseville: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, two hundred forty (240) youth are referred annually to the <br />theft awareness program: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has observed a correlation between <br />contact with the criminal justice system and family income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city is confident that these youth could benefit form a <br />positive relationship with a Police Officer: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville supports <br />application and funding of the P.A.Y.E.R. program. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville respectively <br />requests positive consideration from Ramsey County relating to the <br />aforementioned program. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Cushman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Cushman, Kehr, Johnson, Matson, and <br />Rag, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
