<br />City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1324 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2, SECTION 204.03, AND TITLE 12, <br />SECTION 1207.27, UPDATING THE CITY CODE TO INCLUDE ALL <br />PROTECTED CLASSES FOR EQUAL PROTECTION BY THE CITY <br /> <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: Title: HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, Section: 204.03 of the Roseville <br />City Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />204.03: PURPOSE: <br />The purpose of the commission is to secure for all citizens equal opportunity in <br />employment, housing, public accommodations, public services and education and full <br />participation in the affairs of this community by assisting the state department of human <br />rights in implementing the Minnesota Human Rights Act, human rights act, Minnesota <br />statutes section 363.01 et seq., and by advising the City Council on long range programs <br />to improve community relations in the city. (Ord. 566,2-19-1968; amd. 1995 Code) <br /> <br />SECTION 2: Title: NON EXCLUSIVE TRANSIT STOP SHELTER FRANCHISE, <br />Section 1207.27 of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />1207.27: NONDISCRIMINATION: <br />The franchisee, its agents, employees, contractors and subcontractors shall at all times <br />comply with the provision of the City of Roseville Code and applicable state and federal <br />law regarding nondiscrimination and civil rights. The franchisee, its agents, employees, <br />contractors and subcontractors shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national <br />origin, ancestry, age, sex, religion or disability in connection with its services provided <br />pursuant to this Franchise Ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br />publication. <br /> <br />Passed by the City Council ofthe City of Roseville the 8th day of August, 2005. <br />
