EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the 23rd day of June, 1997, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: Goedeke, Mastel, Wiski, Maschka, Wall The following members were absent: None Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9420 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ACQUIRE BY CONDEMNATION UNDER THE POWERS OF EMINENT DOMAIN CERTAIN LAND IN FEE SIMPLE FOR THE PURPOSES OF ACQUIRING PROPERTY FOR DEVELOPMENT PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES AND DIRECTING THAT THE NECESSARY PROCEEDINGS BE INSTITUTED FOR SUCH PURPOSE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Roseville has established a development program for the redevelopment of certain land within the City; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Roseville deems it necessary and expedient and in the best interests of the City to acquire the following described land in fee simple for the purposes of implementing that development program; WHEREAS, the City has been unable to successfully negotiate for the purpose of purchasing said land; and WHEREAS, under the statutes of the State of Minnesota, the City has the power to take and acquire such property by eminent domain. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: The City Council of the City of Roseville hereby deems it necessary and convenient that the property described below be acquired by the City of Roseville in fee simple for the purpose of furthering the City's development program; all of said property being situated in the City of Rosevlle, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, to-wit:
