<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County <br />of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 10th day of <br />July, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Pust, Kough, Thlan and Klausing <br /> <br />and the following were absent: none <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 10413 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT FOR CENTRAL COMMUNITY HOUSING TRUST <br />APPLICATION FOR MINNESOTA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY FUNDS IN 2006 <br />FOR THE REHABILITATION OF HAR MAR APARTMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments, located at 2225 Snelling Avenue in the City of <br />Roseville was identified by the City as an apartment complex in need ofrenovation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property, with a 50% vacancy rate and deferred maintenance, is <br />struggling in the market place and in need of reinvestment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Har Mar Apartments is in need of moderate to substantial rehabilitation, <br />as well as new marketing and management strategy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Central Community Housing Trust, a reputable Twin Cities affordable <br />housing developer proposed to renovate the property and build new units at the site in Roseville <br />with a mix of affordable and work force housing options. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Roseville hereby supports <br />and strongly recommends funding to Central Community Housing Trust for the rehabilitation of <br />the Har Mar Apartments with the goal to renovate the existing unit mix and make considerable <br />improvements to the building exteriors, add landscaping, recreation areas, and significantly <br />improve the curb appeal to convey current apartment community trends. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption ofthe foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Pust, <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Pust, Kough, <br />Thlan and Klausing <br />and the following voted against the same: none. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Roseville City Council this loth day of July, 2006. <br />
